- Bridger Wilderness
- In west central Wyoming, southeast of the Grand Teton, is a branch of the
Rocky Mountains drained by the Green River on one side and the Wind River on
the other. The range is known as the Wind River Range, and its climax is in
the Jim Bridger Wilderness.
- The Green River is a tributary of the Colorado River; by the usual standards
it should have been the main branch of the Colorado. Truly, these scenes are
in the headwaters of the river which cut the Grand Canyon and finally flows
into the Sea of Cortez.
